چکیده

A polymorph of In2La was discovered by observing a change in the quadrupole interaction at nuclei of 111In/Cd probe atoms at high temperature using the technique of perturbed angular correlation of gamma rays. Point-symmetry information from the measured electric field gradient and chemical considerations suggests that the high-temperature polymorph has the hexagonal AlB2 structure. The transformation between the low-temperature phase, which has the CeCu2 structure, and the high-temperature phase takes place with hysteresis over a temperature range from 200 to 450 ◦C. © 2004 Elsevier B.V. Development of nanostructure in resistant starch type III during thermal treatments and cycling.

The effect of recrystallization temperature on the lamellar structure of RSIII samples was studied using XRD and SAXS. The polymorph type could be manipulated in a controlled manner, independently of the plant source. In RSIII from corn starch and from high-amylose corn starch, retrogradation at a low temperature led to the formation of polymorph B with lamellas arranged in long-range periodici...

Variable-temperature X-ray powder diffraction analysis of the crystal transformation of the pharmaceutically preferred polymorph C of mebendazole.

Mebendazole is a common benzimidazole anthelmintic that is water insoluble. It is reported to exist in three different polymorphic forms in the solid state, i.e. polymorph A, B and C. Form C is the pharmaceutically preferred form because of its increased aqueous solubility. This paper deals with the use of variable-temperature X-ray powder analysis (VTXRPD) to study the transformation of Form C...

An orthorhombic polymorph of cerium(III) ultraphosphate, CeP5O14

Cerium(III) ultraphosphate, CeP(5)O(14), was synthesized by a high-temperature solution reaction between CeO(2) and NH(4)H(2)PO(4) in a Ce-P molar ratio of 1:12. Colourless crystals of the ortho-rhom-bic polymorph were obtained by cooling the melt of the mixture. The structure contains (P(5)O(14))(3-) anionic ribbons linked by distorted CeO(8) polyhedra.

Concealed cyclotrimeric polymorph of lithium 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidide unconcealed: X-ray crystallographic and NMR spectroscopic studies.

Lithium 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidide (LiTMP), one of the most important polar organometallic reagents both in its own right and as a key component of ate compositions, has long been known for its classic cyclotetrameric (LiTMP)4 solid-state structure. Made by a new approach through transmetalation of Zn(TMP)2 with tBuLi in n-hexane solution, a crystalline polymorph of LiTMP has been uncovered....

The Low-Temperature Polymorph of Tetramethyldiphosphine- bis(monoborane): Insight into the Stabilization of Different Rotational Isomers in the Solid State

The low-temperature (LT) polymorph of tetramethyldiphosphine-bis(monoborane), Me2(H3B)PP(BH3)Me2, was obtained by crystallization from diethyl ether at 4 ◦C. It crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c, a = 6.464(1), b = 7.605(1), c = 11.867(2) Å, β = 119.99(1)◦ (at 153 K) with 2 molecules per unit cell. This implies that the individual molecules have crystallographic inversion symmetry...
